## How do these prices compare with other providers?

Each row names a competitor list price read on 13 October 2026, from our [dated table](https://crawlrelay.com/compare/residential-proxy-prices/); promotions are excluded. We do not claim to be the cheapest at any volume. Below $0.50/GB, Proxyway's 2026 market research describes a grey market, so we stop there.

| Volume | CrawlRelay | Lowest competitor list price in our table (2026-10-13) |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Residential 1 GB | $1.50 | Thordata: $2.00 for 1 GB (sale price; list $2.85) |
| Residential 5 GB | $3.75 | DataImpulse: $5 for 5 GB (intro pack, new customers) |
| Residential 10 GB | $5.94 | Geonode: $7.92 for 10 GB (monthly plan) |
| Residential 50 GB | $25 | Databay Flex: $27.50 for 50 GB (valid 31 days, country targeting) |
| Residential 100 GB | $50 | Databay Flex: $55 for 100 GB (valid 31 days) |
| Residential 500 GB | $250 | Geonode: $274.50 for 500 GB (monthly plan) |
| Residential 1 TB | $500 | Geonode: $500 for 1 TB (monthly plan) |

*Prices checked on October 13, 2026.*

Public list prices read on each provider's own pricing page on 2026-10-13, excluding coupon codes and time-limited promotions; Thordata's sale prices have no stated end date and are included. Left out: FloppyData (one $1.00/GB rate for a mixed residential, mobile and datacenter pool, no plan sizes shown), pages we could not read, and providers excluded for seizure or a commercial relationship. Mobile, for reference: DataImpulse listed $2.00/GB and Byteful $4.25/GB. The [full table: 16 offers from 15 providers](https://crawlrelay.com/compare/residential-proxy-prices/) shows every tier and source.

## How does the price compare with the market average?

At 5 GB, CrawlRelay costs $0.75/GB, against a market median of $3.75/GB in Proxyway's Proxy Market Research 2026, which tested 13 providers. At 500 GB, CrawlRelay costs $0.50/GB, against a median of $2.25/GB. The averages in the same study are higher: $4.16/GB at 5 GB and $1.94/GB at 1 TB.

Medians include premium providers that sell extra tools, such as unblocker APIs and dashboards for large teams. CrawlRelay sells proxy traffic and the documentation to use it well. The [2026 price index](https://crawlrelay.com/data/residential-proxy-price-index-2026/) breaks the market down tier by tier.

## How much traffic do I need?

Divide your expected download volume by the page size. A rendered page with images and scripts weighed a median 2,164 KB on mobile and 2,412 KB on desktop in the HTTP Archive Web Almanac 2025, while the HTML alone is usually tens of kilobytes. So 1 GB covers about 400 to 500 fully rendered pages, or tens of thousands of HTML-only pages.

- **HTML-only crawl** with requests or Scrapy: start with 10 GB ($5.94).
- **Headless browser** with images blocked: plan for several hundred KB per page.
- **Full browser rendering**: plan for about 2 MB per page.

The [bandwidth calculator guide](https://crawlrelay.com/guides/bandwidth-calculator/) has the method and the cost per 1,000 pages at each tier.

## How payment works

1. **Top up $25 or more** — Choose the amount and the coin (BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC). The crypto amount and its rate are locked for 30 minutes.
2. **Send it to the address shown, on the exact network** — The payment page shows our deposit address for the coin and network you picked: BTC on Bitcoin, USDT on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20), USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20), ETH on Ethereum, SOL on Solana, LTC on Litecoin. Send only that coin on that network: funds sent on another network or in another coin can’t be recovered. The network fee comes on top of the amount.
3. **Send the exact amount shown, then click “I’ve sent the payment”** — Each top-up has its own exact amount (down to the last decimals): that is how we find your payment and link it to your account.
4. **Credited once your payment is checked on the blockchain** — Your balance is credited once we have checked the transaction on the blockchain, after the network has confirmed it. Typical network confirmation times:
5. **One balance for every product** — If you started from a plan, it is bought as soon as the top-up is credited, and your proxies are delivered. What is left stays on your balance: use it for any of our plans, paid instantly. Unused balance stays on your account and never expires, but it is not paid back, except where the law requires it.

| Crypto | Network | Confirmations | Usual time |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Bitcoin (BTC) | Bitcoin | 2 | ≈ 20 min |
| Tether (USDT) | Tron (TRC-20) | 20 | ≈ 1 min |
| Tether (USDT) | Ethereum (ERC-20) | 12 | ≈ 5 min |
| USD Coin (USDC) | Ethereum (ERC-20) | 12 | ≈ 5 min |
| Ethereum (ETH) | Ethereum | 12 | ≈ 5 min |
| Solana (SOL) | Solana | 1 | ≈ 1 min |
| Litecoin (LTC) | Litecoin | 6 | ≈ 15 min |

## Pricing questions

### Is there a free trial?

No free trial — test with the 1 GB plan, paid from the minimum top-up; the rest stays on your balance (never expires, non-refundable). The 1 GB plan costs $1.50, enough for about 20,000 compressed HTML pages, or about 450 fully rendered ones, on your real targets before you buy a larger plan.

### Does unused traffic expire?

No. Prepaid residential and rotating-mobile traffic never expires: unused GB stay on your account until you use them. A plan stays on your account until you use it, whether that takes a week or a year. Your crypto balance does not expire either. Unused balance stays on your account and never expires, but it is not paid back, except where the law requires it.

### Is targeting or a sticky session charged extra?

No. Country and city targeting, US state and ZIP code, ASN targeting and sticky sessions of up to 30 minutes are included in the per-GB price on every plan. There is no setup fee, no monthly fee and no per-request fee.

### What is the minimum payment?

The minimum crypto top-up is $25. It is a deposit, not a fee: the full amount lands on your USD balance, and you buy plans from it. If you buy the 1 GB plan for $1.50, the rest stays on your balance for later plans. Your wallet pays the network fee.

### How is traffic counted?

Usage counts all data sent and received through the proxy (upload and download, headers included). 1 GB = 1,000,000,000 bytes. Connection attempts that fail before reaching the target are not counted. The dashboard shows totals per sub-user, so you can compare them with your own logs. Blocking images, fonts and video in headless browsers cuts traffic the most.

### Can I get a refund?

Within 72 hours of purchase, a residential or rotating-mobile plan is credited back to your balance if you used less than 20% of its traffic and no more than 1 GB. A plan that does not work, and that support cannot fix within 24 hours, is credited back in full. Top-ups are credited to your balance and are not paid back, except where the law requires it. Refunds go back to your balance, not to a wallet. See the [refund policy](https://crawlrelay.com/refunds/) for the details and the steps to ask.

### Is card, PayPal or bank transfer accepted?

No. CrawlRelay accepts crypto only: BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC. Stablecoins (USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20, USDC on ERC-20) keep the amount stable while the payment confirms. See [paying with crypto](https://crawlrelay.com/crypto-payments/).

### Do you sell dedicated mobile ports or datacenter proxies?

No. CrawlRelay sells traffic per GB: rotating residential IPs for most scraping and rotating 4G/5G mobile IPs for hard targets. That keeps billing simple for pipelines whose volume changes from week to week.

### What about volumes above 1 TB?

Buy several 1 TB plans: the rate stays at $0.50/GB. If you plan several terabytes a month, write to support@crawlrelay.com before you start so we can check targeting coverage for your countries.
