Quick answer

What is CrawlRelay, in one paragraph?

CrawlRelay is a developer-first rotating residential and 4G/5G mobile proxy service for scrapers and AI data pipelines. Residential traffic costs $1.50 for 1 GB and $0.50/GB from 50 GB to 1 TB, as of October 2026, and never expires. It is operated by ProxyGoat LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (USA); the team has been in the proxy business since 2019. No KYC — no ID, no selfie, no documents. Pay in crypto.

Buying and pricing

How much do CrawlRelay residential proxies cost?

$1.50 for 1 GB, $3.75 for 5 GB, $5.94 for 10 GB, and $0.50/GB on every plan from 50 GB to 1 TB, as of October 2026. Targeting and sticky sessions are included. See pricing and the dated comparison.

How much do rotating mobile proxies cost?

$3.18 for 1 GB, then $1.50/GB from 5 GB to 100 GB. Mobile traffic uses a shared pool of 4G/5G carrier IPs with country targeting; use it where you need what phone users see, such as mobile sites, apps and ads. See mobile proxies.

Is CrawlRelay the cheapest residential proxy?

No. We do not claim to be the cheapest at any volume. The price comparison shows 15 providers, their terms and sources, so you can judge for your volume.

Is there a free trial?

No free trial — test with the 1 GB plan, paid from the minimum top-up; the rest stays on your balance (never expires, non-refundable). The 1 GB plan costs $1.50, enough for about 20,000 compressed HTML pages, or about 450 fully rendered ones, on your real targets.

Does traffic expire?

No. Prepaid residential and rotating-mobile traffic never expires: unused GB stay on your account until you use them, which suits crawls that run in bursts.

Are there subscriptions or monthly fees?

No. Every plan is a one-off purchase from your prepaid balance. There is no subscription, setup fee, monthly fee or per-request fee, and you buy more only when you need it.

How do I estimate how many GB I need?

Multiply your page count by the average compressed size per page: about 50 KB for HTML, about 2 MB for a fully rendered page. One million HTML pages use about 50 GB. The bandwidth guide has a measuring script and a cost table.

Payment and account

Which cryptocurrencies do you accept?

BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC: USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20, USDC on ERC-20, and BTC, ETH, SOL and LTC on their own networks. Monero, Lightning, cards and PayPal are not accepted. See crypto payments.

What is the minimum payment?

A top-up of at least $25. It goes to your USD balance in full, and you buy plans from it. Unused balance stays on your account and never expires, but it is not paid back, except where the law requires it.

Do I need to verify my identity?

No. CrawlRelay asks for no ID, no selfie, no documents and no company email. Account-number login; email is optional. Every account follows the Acceptable Use Policy.

How fast are credentials delivered?

Credentials appear in your dashboard as soon as you buy a plan from your confirmed crypto balance. A top-up is credited once its transaction is confirmed on the network; the time depends on the network and how busy it is. See crypto payments for the confirmations each coin needs.

Can I get a refund?

Within 72 hours of purchase, a residential or rotating-mobile plan is credited back to your balance if you used less than 20% of its traffic and no more than 1 GB. A plan that does not work, and that support cannot fix within 24 hours, is credited back in full. Top-ups are credited to your balance and are not paid back, except where the law requires it. Refunds go to your balance. See the refund policy.

I lost my account number. What can I do?

Your account number is your login: save it somewhere safe. Add an email (optional) if you want a way to recover it. Without an email, a lost account number cannot be recovered. If you added an email address, write to [email protected] from it. We never ask for your account number by email or chat.

Who operates CrawlRelay?

ProxyGoat LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (USA). The team has been in the proxy business since 2019. The seller is named on every order. See about.

Setup, sessions and targeting

What are the gateway host and ports?

gw.crawlrelay.com, port 7777 for HTTP and HTTPS (through CONNECT) and port 7778 for SOCKS5. Authenticate with the username and password of your plan or of a sub-user, or from an allowlisted IP. See the quick start.

How do I choose a country or a city?

Add parameters to the username: -country-de, -city-berlin, and in the United States -state-tx or -zip-10001; -asn-7922 targets an internet provider. Country and city targeting on every plan; in the United States also state and ZIP code; ASN targeting at no extra cost. City availability varies. The full format is USERNAME-country-{cc}-state-{state}-city-{city}-zip-{zip}-asn-{asn}-session-{id}-ttl-{minutes}; every part after USERNAME is optional.

How do I keep the same IP?

Add -session-<id>-ttl-<minutes> to the username. Sticky sessions keep the same IP for the time you set (ttl, in minutes), up to 30 minutes. The IP can change earlier, for example if the residential device goes offline. See sessions and rotation.

Why does my IP not change on every request?

Rotation happens per new connection. If your client keeps a connection alive, every request on it uses the same exit. Disable keep-alive or open a new connection per request, and make sure the username has no session part.

Which libraries do you have examples for?

Python (requests, httpx, aiohttp), Scrapy, Playwright, Puppeteer, Selenium, Node.js (undici, axios, got, SOCKS5) and curl. Every example uses the real gateway host and ports.

Can I use SOCKS5?

Yes, on port 7778 with the same username and password. Use the socks5h:// scheme, which leaves DNS resolution to the exit. Chromium-based browsers cannot authenticate to SOCKS5, so use the HTTP port with them.

How many concurrent connections can I open?

Plans are billed per GB, not per connection. The limit you will meet is each target's tolerance: start with 2 to 4 requests in flight per host and adjust. See the concurrency guide.

Can I create separate credentials per project?

Yes. Sub-users with their own credentials and traffic cap. Create them in the dashboard or through the API. API keys you can revoke at any time.

What does a 407 error mean?

The gateway did not accept your credentials, so the website was never contacted. Check the username and password, and URL-encode special characters. The error reference covers 407 and 14 other errors.

What can I use CrawlRelay for?

Public-data work: scraping public pages, AI training data that respects opt-outs, price and stock monitoring, ad and landing-page checks, location checks of your own sites, research. See use cases and the Acceptable Use Policy.

What is not allowed?

Fraud, account takeover, credential stuffing, bulk account creation, spam, ticket or stock bots, CAPTCHA solving or other circumvention of a site's deliberate blocks, and collecting personal data unlawfully. Accounts that do this are suspended or terminated without a refund.

Which sites are blocked?

Banking, government and payment-portal sites, plus SMTP (email-sending) ports 25, 465 and 587. The block applies to every plan, and attempts to get around it break the Acceptable Use Policy.

Do you log my requests?

We do not log the content of your requests, full URLs or page data. To handle abuse reports and billing disputes, we keep connection metadata (time, account, exit IP, target hostname, bytes) for up to 30 days, then delete it. We keep your account number, orders, top-up records and traffic totals while your account is open, and afterwards only as long as accounting rules require. We disclose records to authorities only when the law requires it. Our upstream network provider may keep its own logs under its own policy. See the privacy policy.

Where do your IPs come from?

We resell residential and mobile IPs from established upstream partner networks. Our upstream provider confirms that device owners opt in and can opt out, and that its supply does not come from seized or disrupted networks such as NetNut or IPIDEA. We cannot inspect every device, and we say so. See sourcing.

Collecting public data is generally lawful in the US and the EU, but terms of use, anti-circumvention rules, copyright and data protection can apply, and some cases are still open in 2026. This is not legal advice; read our overview.

Where do I send an abuse report about a CrawlRelay IP?

Email [email protected] with the IP, the date and time with its time zone, the target and log lines that show the traffic. Abuse reports are reviewed by a person, and confirmed abuse leads to suspension. See contact.

Does CrawlRelay hide who I am?

No. We collect no identity documents, but we keep the records listed in the privacy policy, exit traffic can be reported to us through [email protected] and we act on it, and we answer valid legal process with the data we hold. CrawlRelay is built for public-data work, not for hiding.

Where can I check the service status?

On the status page, which lists incidents and maintenance. Changes to plans, prices and policies are dated in the changelog.
